Double wafer lock stuck in unlocked position on sentry safe

Hey guys.. New to the forum. Just wondering. I successfully picked the lock on my little sentry safe. (Double wafer) and I'm wondering about the mechanics of this type of lock because when I turned the lock all the way in the open position I felt like the wafers reset as if they "re locked" but in the fully opened position... Is this how wafer locks work? Is there another sheer line that you have to pick thru in order to lock it again? I'm able to twist the lock about halfway back to the closed position but it gets stuck. From the halfway locked position I'm still able to turn the lock to the opened position but not to the fully locked position.. Can someone please explain this? Gracias in advance

Since the discussion of safes is restricted to the advanced forums, I can't go into specifics regarding your "Sentry Safe"; however I can say that I've observed behavior similar to what you describe in other wafer locks. For example, I have to pick the lock on my Craftsman tool cabinet at the twelve, three, and six o'clock positions.
