Rakes

There's so many, what's the difference between double, triple, quad, ripple and bogota rakes? Are they all just different styles of the same tool?

Basically the same idea. Different locks or bittings will react differently to more and less peaks and valleys, as well as the spacing. If you're looking for advice on the best rakes in general for pin tumbler locks, my favorites are the L-Rake (AKA City Rake), and the Bogota. There are other very useful ones, but those are my favorites. Good luck!

My favorite is the "S" rake. It's had the most success rate in my years of usage.
