What type of lock?

This is a Schhlage deadbolt lock, but what type has the little extra piece with the pin on it?

The bolt has an extra piece on the top where the pin from the cylinder goes through it.

I will post pics, but what is the best way to do this? I tried to paste it into the body, and tried to click on img at the top of the post?

This is a made for big box stores such as Home Depot Schlage model B60N, which is not the same as a real commercial Schlage deadbolt.

I *believe* they sell the deadbolt part on the shelf at Home Depot if you need another one. or just replace the whole deadbolt if you cant locate just the bolt.

I got this at a yard sale for a buck. I picked it and rekeyed it to fit my house key and wanted to use it on my shed.

I must admit I am cheap and figured that if I could buy just the bolt it would be cheaper than buying a whole lock.

Actually the bolt costs more than a cheap new deadbolt does at a home improvement store. I wanted to stock these bolts, they were originally used in schlage's B300
series but when I checked I found it cheaper for the client if I just replace the whole lock. If your lock wasn't a double deadbolt you could likely rig a working solution
by using the tailpiece as the bolt activator, instead of the round bar. But I don't see it working with the model you currently have.
