sentry 7250 floor safe

Forgot how to dial the combination on that old safe? Think you got the right numbers but the handle is stuck? What safe should you buy? Ask your safe questions here!

What are my options for accessing this safe. It came with a home i just bought. Is it an easy pick or i read i could take the dial off and hit the spindle with a punch. Would this work? I can allways order a new door

Contact Sentry with the serial number and they can provide you with the combo.

No, hitting the spindle wont do anything useful other than creating unnecessary damage. Also, we do not discuss destructive methods here as we do not want instructions floating around that might teach bad guys how to get into safes.

As already said, get in touch with Sentry: https://www.sentrysafe.com/CustomerCare ... ombination

I know this is an old post but I too purchased a home with a floor safe that looks like the one posted by the OP. Mine had been drilled out. My dear wife threw the top away so I'm not sure of the model. It appears that Sentry doesn't make this model any longer. I'd love to find a used top for it. Can anyone suggest a way to positively identify this safe? Thanks in advance!

Since it is a discontinued item, finding a replacement cap may be difficult. Check Craigslist, thrift stores, auctions, flea markets, etc. Call Sentry and ask if they have a replacement cap for the 7250. The cap diameter is around 8". Good luck.
