reversing peessure a little opens lock why?

So day 2 of my lockpicking adventure and I encountered something I didn't expect and something I don't manage to understand . When I know all pins are set I need to reverse the rotation of the lock a little and then press back an my locks (pad locks) Will open why so shouldn't it be an constant pressure ??

Sounds like you might be over setting a pin that falls back to the sheer line when you let tension off.

Not entirely what you mean by "press back", but I can only assume you're pushing the pins back in? Anyways, I can see two possibilities - it would be as Dakota said, that you are oversetting with too much tension, and this is the most likely scenario... If you hear a "click" when you're letting tension off, that means a pin dropped back down and it just needed to be set again. The second scenario would be from a spool pin, where it is jamming up. You'll need to identify the spool pin and apply pressure to the pin while simultaneously letting off pressure gently from the pin. When pushing on a half-set spool pin, you will feel the plug fighting back against your tension wrench.

Yeah maybe but the strange thing is that it happens on an lock that is sets like 321 where the 1 is he innermost pin. And I really don't believe there are any sec pins in it

Hm. Maybe post a picture of the lock? A lot of the beginner locks are well known, just give us a picture and I'm sure somebody around would know the setup of the lock and see if it has any securities. Better yet, maybe a video of what's going on?
