tension tools

I have a set of slimline pics, and I just got a new big padlock to play with. However, the width of the keyhole in the padlock is much greater than the stuff I used before. When I put my tension tools in, they are too thin to get a grip on the block :!: does anyone have any advice on how to deal with this :?:

Get a thicker tension wrench. It's easy to find materials around your house to do so. The TW-15 is a wishbone wrench. It's basically a Y shape, with prongs at the ends of the top part of the Y, and it's generally used on cars. The TW-20 is a tulip wrench. It's just used for doorknobs whose key cylinder isn't flush with the outer surface of the knob.

Try using an allen key. If you take an allen key and grind the top and the bottom of the small side of the key on a taper you can make it to the size you require to fit the lock.

Isn't the first tension wrench used for double sided wafers? And cars!
I have made mistakes, but never made the mistake of claiming i never made one!

In swiss army knives there are (what I've come to calling "safety latches") which keep the blade from closing. If you take the red cap off the knife and grind the rivets off you can use these "safety latches" out of tension wrenches.
