some of these OBD2 systems out there that seem like such a "great deal" actually slave off old NGS OEM systems.
TRUST ME when I tell you , it is not worth it.
example. A used car lot in our area has contracted the "lowest" bid for reprogram services. they now have numerous cars that clients can no longer receive an extra key to as the system has been locked out. investigation into matter has determined that someone is using an old NGS OBD programmer to program keys. when they are complete, due to insufficient knowledge of what they are using, they are unknowingly locking the system. only one key for used car, unable to acquire second, not even factory can help. once we determine who has the illicit machine, i will gladly post what it is so no one else mistakenly buys it. trust me, it is never fun having to tell a pissed off customer, sorry, no more keys allowed. factory tells them same thing.
once a cars system is locked. there is no unlocking, only replacing ecm module and new skins.
The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
