Breakdown of Vachette Volt a new Assa Abloy lock

This is a quite new lock from Vachette France, Assa Abloy
Quite well made, but it deserved to be taken apart !

Its box

The pins

The key pins seem to be anti-impressioning. Let's see when I make a blank for it

Would think that when impressioning that lock, as you get close to the mushroom part of those key pins, it would lever the pin upwards a bit, causing it to no longer leave marks on the key blank. But it would have to be only at a very shallow cut.

Let us know how the impressioning works. :D

Very cool to see this. I'll have to watch out for one.

Many thanks for sharing that, Frenchkey.

Why do the French have to be so difficult? Nice post looking forward to the next post on this lock I find dimples very interesting as we don't have to many in the united states.

Interesting, although I'm not sure what's going on with that pin in the top right there. Keep it away.
