I just ordered from Airpistol.co.uk. They were the cheapest I could find when all costs were considered (shipping and price after exchange rate). Airpistol worked out just slightly cheaper than ordering from http://www.multipick-service.com/en/.

You could always improvise: I'm currently using a hair grip/clip straightened out with the end bent up for a pick. It works but it does make your finger sore especially when you're not very good at it (like me) and catch the jut of metal at the back of the cylinder instead of getting the pins hehe. It's also not very good at working front-to-back as it catches on the pins where a half-diamond pick wouldn't.

I'm using a small allen key for the tension wrench which is fine until my set arrives.

I've purchased a set of picks from that shop for a reasonable price and have noticed the amount has been taken from my credit card BUT there is no contact details for them!

The email address is dead! It refers to some kid called David Lum who stopped updating his website in 2002. I'm a tad concerned now!

I've researched the whole area of Baldwinsville (where it is supposedly located) and found that 8115 River road appears to be in the middle of a empty road!!! I've tried my best to locate phone numbers but to no avail!

Has anyone bought anything from the shop mentioned in the last post recently? Please allay my fears!

I, too, have emailed this place, and am advising that no make further purchases from that particular site until this issue has been resolved. (if it ever is).

Until then, a note will be attached to the link stating that problems have arisen.

If any one else has had experience (good or bad) with this company, please post your experiences.

O.k. folks, well, it didn't take long to find out that this company is most likely a scam. My attempt at emailing said company got it returned with one of those "does not exist" type messages, and this throws up an immediate warning flag. I'm sorry to all who may have gotten ripped up off, but that's the way it goes sometimes. I'll be editing the links page to update the information.

If you orderd on Visa/Mastercard/American Express then under UK law (at least) the card company is half responsible for the transaction and, in most cases, will refund you the sum whilst the company is investigated. Contact your bank and report the situation.

I made sure that was one of the first things I did (after the cold realisation that I had been scammed!)

Just shows that anybody can set up a webpage with a lovely checkout system and be beyond reproach!

I'm having a real struggle getting tools though! I'm a regular Ebayer and managed to win the bid (but not paid for yet!!) for a 60 piece kit (only £26 dollars!) yet the seller has not come back to me, despite numerous emails, and chased me for payment! His email address no longer is valid!

Am I never destined to pick and play? Might have to bite the bullet and make my own!!

Do as verjeal said a look at the link on sellers, but i tell you now that if you live in the uk www.airpistol.co.uk get them to you. again its a bit disorganised, like there is no conformation of order, no e-mial notification when they are sent, but they come and the money goes out of your bank. They are fairly good, plus they go through a secure server, and also its one massive company, the money isnt actuall taken by airpistol.co.uk its taken and all ordering stuff is done through a place called www.bullnet.co.uk and there is a phone number and e-mail.
Try them, i was struggling gettin them to the uk and they seem best. I all so heard tho that Southord send to uk and someone said on here they got them within 5 days!!!!!

I think that ...... www.airpistol.co.uk www.lockpicks.co.uk are all the same place just under different name, where the main host is www.bullnet.co.uk ??? I FINK!!!

I receieved confirmation of order and confirmation of dispatch emails with Airpistol. However I'm yet to receive the picks. I think the recent industrial action with Royal Mail has delayed my package.

a good hit of advice for everyone. Unless they OWN the website they are on like LP101 and southord.com, locksmith.com, ect.... I wouldn't buy ANYTHING from them. The other sites are usually free sites that can be used to scam, seeing as it is hard to trace the IP of some of the people who create the sites. On the other hand, your money might not be that hard to trace. But still, unless they own a domain name, I would be very hesitent before I ordered anything from them

My set from Airpistol arrived today (6 days from order but consider that there were delays due to a postal strike). I give Airpistol the thumbs up all round.

Got them in 2 working days, not bad as I live on an island off Scotland!

I emailed them last night about the availability of slim picks and will post the reply when I get it.

It's not as cheap as some places but it's a quality run company. I recommend them to everyone in the UK.

To sum up -

Airpistol.co.uk - have much cheaper prices and a larger selection especially if you go onto there partner company bullnet.co.uk and go on the lock picking website. However they take a longer period of time to come. I dont think its a fact they order them in but i think there just slower at processing (my own experience they took bout 5-6 days -(not bad for the price)

topsecretmagic.co.uk - Seem to be dispatched on the same day and they come well packaged and pretty fast. However they are considerably more expensive. (example. the mpxs 20 set which ive got costs £50 at topsecretmagic.co.uk where as only £38 at airpistol. Thats a large 12 pounds saving) Also these seem to have much less choice.
