Should I Buy This Set?

Postby the182guy » 2 Nov 2004 10:21

Hi, ive just got into lockpicking last night, I tried picking my pateo doors with a small pin and flat head crewdriver, i managed to get the first pin down but nothing more as the pin is to small and weak, also the scredriver is kinda bulky and gets in the way.

So i went shopping online for some picks, im in the UK so i dont want to buy off the sites you recommend on here because of the postage and import tax etc. Also they probably down even post to the UK. So i found this site that is in the UK. Its called:

http://www.locksmith-tools.co.uk

There is a pick set on here called 'Fifteen Piece UK Lock Pick Set (WMH)'. What does the WMH part mean? as there is an identical set without WMH for slightly cheaper.

Does this set look like a good set to start out with? Heres a pic and a link to the product page of it:

Thanks in advance :)

The "WMH" refers to "With Metal Handles" which basically triples the thickness of the handles and adds rigidity to the picks. The metal handles are definently worth the extra money in the long run because it makes practicing more enjoyable and is less painful of your hands, until you build up callouses.

Yes those are good sets especially if you want to stick to tools within the UK.
