That's not a removable core lock so no matter which key you have it wont remove the plug. Which country are you from, could you fill in your member Profile please?

That is a European profile cylinder, by the way. Trio Ving in Norway http://www.trioving.no/no/site/trioving ... -historie/

based on that History page, your lock/key is from 1957 to 1972

I think I understand what you mean, those cuts in the cylinder.. I think they may have clips in them holding the plug inside

New cylinders have similar cuts but for break secure function to stop snapping attacks, this old cylinder probably probably has clips in those grooves.

can you use a flashlight or spray some degreaser into the groove to see a clip?

You can see i have removed the clip i might use a saw to cut the core because i think theres a crimp where the thing that rotates to lock unlock the door

Did you pick the lock? because to remove the core of a euro lock such as this you need to pick it and turn the plug 90 degrees so the pins aren't binding (you can use the key aswell),
Then only you can pull the plug out (be carefull if you do it this way, a lot of bits are going to fly off)
Best way is to turn the plug 180 degres and then insert someting to hold the pins in place while you pull the plug out, like a pick, but best is a tool like this : link It helps immensly with the assembling/disassembling process, it's rather easy to make, you just need wire and something a little curved to stick it into.

On Monday at school I am going to use a hacksaw to chop the core where the slot is and take pictures of the C clip
