Picking a Numeric Combination Lock Box?

Hi, I need to pick a lock box (one that realtors use to secure keys at houses, if you want background info, I'll include it below), but I need some tips. It's a no-name box, and I don't have any supplies yet. I was trying to use a can as a shim, but I can't find the spot to put it to feel where the flat spot is. Does anyone have any tips or pointers for me? Thanks!!

Background info: my parents bought a new house, but through a private party. When the person selling the house took the listing down from the realtor, they never came to remove their lock box and give us the key to the front door. Now instead of cutting the box open, I'm trying to pick the lock. I've got a little experience with combo lock picking, mostly stuff like bike locks and such, things that can easily be picked using tension on the shackle.

This isnt the usual hobby lock picking we talk about here, that's actually considered cracking a combination. (Be it a high school locker, a realtor's lock box, or a safe, we generally put it under the same umbrella)

You'll find that it's a touchy subject because by helping a new member here, someone may come around who finds this post using google search, and they may actually be up to no good, and misuse the helpful information we provide you with, so we don't talk about combination locks outside of the Advanced Topics area. To get to that area a member has to be around a while, be trusted, and be voted in.

I'd recommend calling the realtor, or just start dialing 0000, 0001, 0002, 0003.. 9999 until you open it.

try the last 4 numbers of the address or the realtors phone number.
