HPC micrometer

At my work I learned to use a caliper well enough for my keying needs but when I found this used HPC micrometer available for a reasonable price on ebay it now has a new home. Using a metal key gauge on worn keys always left me guessing and reaching for the calipers. Just took this out of the box for a quick photo, will zero it and try it out on a few factory keys, it has a coarse and fine movement with a slip clutch. -Nick

And out of curiosity, What was the reasonable price? I've been eyeing one of those. Looks soo much easier than calipers.

$140 - there wasn't much interest on the auction

I have noticed that a lot of lock related/locksmith related auctions don't get many bidders on ebay. Great for us I guess but bad if we had to resale some of our stuff.

Ouch, I wouldn't have spent $140.00 on that. You can buy a digital Mitutoyo for less than that; easily more accurate.
