I think I'm missing a part. The inside door handle sags from the weight. I think there is supposed to be some type of part that goes behind the nut I took a picture of. Does anyone know the manufacturer of this lock? Do you know what part I would need? I took apart a similar lock. It has an additional part:

Schlage is the manufacturer. You have the parts. Behind the castle nut is the part that has the spring (spring cage) but parts aren't easy to buy for these locks. I just pop a new lock on and save the bits for my junk pile so perhaps you will have the part the next time. This lock has been superseded with a new improved version.

You could try Boyle and Chase or Security Lock for the parts.

i dont know the name of it, i apologize, i realize im of no use, but i know that the part is usually plastic, and it keeps the 'kik' cylinder from falling out when you push in your key. the top part of the piece your missing puts pressure against the back of the 'bible' of the kik cylinder, thus holding it in place. any locksmith shop would probly give you one for free honestly.

The last picture are parts that go to a different lock set. The first three pictures are from the lock set that isn't working properly. The lock set I'm having trouble with only has the metal collar. I can turn the collar and there is resistance. Basically, the collar latches onto a spring set. The problem is that there is nothing connecting the collar to the handle. If you look at the last picture, you will brass piece. That piece extends into the back of the handle. By doing so, it links the handle, to the collar, to the spring set. I hope that makes sense.

I had the lock sets rekeyed. When I reinstalled the locks is when I noticed the sagging door handle. I wonder if the guy just reassembled the lock wrong. From the diagram below, it looks like the picture I posted (first 3 pics) are of the driver cap. This is supposed to go on the outside. He had it on the inside portion of the lock. The driver and cap (B and C) are supposed to go on the inside. I'll have to look tomorrow to see if he put them on the outside of the lock. http://us.allegion.com/IRSTDocs/Install ... 108323.pdf
