I appreciate where your coming from and I thank you for seeing it from my side as well.

I shall go explore. :)

If you are not already aware you may want to familiarize yourself with the local guidelines:

Transport for London - London Taxi and Private Hire
GUIDELINES FOR CCTV SYSTEMS IN LICENSED LONDON TAXIS & PRIVATE HIRE VEHICLES
https://www.tfl.gov.uk/cdn/static/cms/d ... d-phvs.pdf

It appears that occupant safety and privacy are paramount.

yeah thanks for that, seen that before....

quite an interesting bit here though.....so if that makes me the Data Controller I must have access to it right or at least the key ?

The ICO defines a “data controller” as the body which has legal responsibility under the
Data Protection Act (DPA) 1998 for all matters concerning the use of personal data. For
the purpose of the installation and operation of in-vehicle CCTV, the “data controller”
is the specified company, organisation or individual which has decided to have
CCTV installed. The data controller has the final decision on how the images are
stored and used and determines in what circumstances the images should be
disclosed.

Think i'll go look at some more you tube videos as this is toooooo straight and narrow.....lol :) after all it is a "lock picking forum " ain't it? the ethical hobby of lock picking forum i mean "

Thank you for letting us know the end result. So many times, we never found out if the lock was opened.
Glad it all worked out!
