I hope this one doesnt go into the advanced forum... I am looking forward to seeing the results of someone trying to shim or otherwise pick this lock.

Hey Guys,

I just a got couple of these in and will make a video about them soon. I will say that I thought they could be shimmed too, but the dead-latch mechanism really works and all my shimming attempts were unsuccessful.

Not sure why they just didn't use a ball bearing, but works well enough!

Not sure if it's just mine or not but the two I have almost fell open with the mazola oil method?

Am I missing something?

Hey Zeke, it's nice to see you around.

I've never heard of the mazola oil method. Do you mind to tell me something more?

Thanks :)

Check the advanced thread. Probably isn't really public info.

Unfortunately, like many of the cool-key padlocks that Marduk finds, the picture of the shackle on that eBay listing looks like it can be shimmed.

Gordon

When this lock showed up on eBay a couple weeks ago I did a little internet searching and found Barry Wells' info, which is always illuminating.

However, a for a lock of such complexity I expected to find it's own GWiens2001 thread detailing exactly how it works, with many great photos. I was both surprised and disappointed by it's notable absence.

So, Gordon what keeping you?

Kind regards,
Sean

As far as I remember, Mazola Oil Method was a joke, right? Like Thermite?

Gosh I didn't think I'd ever read a new post by zeke79. This quote by illusion summarizes the Mazola method.
what you want to do is get hold of some Mazola, and cram it into the keyway... then simply leave it there for severall minutes.. then the lock will magicaly open... you can add some KY jelly at the same time to help getting the mould.

P.S; I'm joking
