i dunno why my post was deleted but i really need help. if my dad finds out i locked my key in my room he'll kill me!! plz i have a faultless deadbolt lock and thats all i know about it. i am a noob to picking locks and need to know if there is anyway i can pick the lock w/ stuff i got around the house and how to D: plz do not delte this it is very important.

You would do well to read the FAQ thread. That should answer a good deal of your questions. Yes, you can pick the lock with household objects. Try searching for Pickmaking or making picks etc... You should also give the MIT guide a healthy read, at least for a basic introduction to how picking works.

mmmk ill try readin those, but before i do i got a question. i just tried somemore and i firgured you know, you get all the pins up and then stick somethin in to turn the key hole and it should open right up.... well i think i got all the pins up (but im not sure how to tell) and i tried turning and nothin :/ if theres more to it plz explain briefly what im missing as i read that faq.

1. You're in too much of a hurry.
2. You need to read the MIT guide slooooowly again.
3. You must apply slight tension at the same time that you pick. Tension is a constant application (though varies in pressure) throughout the picking process.
4. If you feel your in danger call 911, don't bother trying to pick the lock. (bit of a joke there)
5. Decide whether the consequences of nOObish picking (such as the possibility of breaking off something in the lock) balance against informing your dad that you foolishly left your (only????) key in the room.

you need to read the MIT guide - that will teach you how to pick locks.

Do you have a window in the room? If so try that first it may not be locked. :idea:

Your dad'll kill ya for being locked out? Maybe you should phone the Childrens Help Line before consulting us =) ...maybe the police too.

lol, no my dad didn't kill me :x yet.... ;D anyways i re-read the MIT guide and well to me it just doesn't make that much sense... i dunno if im an idiot or what :/ but anyways thanks for your help guys, the rooms still locked but my dad is calling a locksmith, but maybe i can still figure this picking thing out for future reference.
