I would think that the bitting of the individual lock comes into play there. Then again, most of my BEST cores are pretty beat up and tend to need a lot of coaxing, I might just be a bit worried about what they would do to my bogotas, I broke one a couple of weeks ago and I really can't afford to replace any more.

That one is a real piece of work and I would love to have a go at it! I like to use my Peterson slender gem on those, or try raking with anything slender like the other guys already said. It can be done! Just don't give up and you will eventually get it picked. And if you pick at it long enough it will make the keyway worn out and easier to get your picks in
