LIPS VAGO safe with S&G lock I may get

Forgot how to dial the combination on that old safe? Think you got the right numbers but the handle is stuck? What safe should you buy? Ask your safe questions here!

Do you get to take off the S&G also.

kwoswalt99-, I think the lock could have been made by LIPS-VAGO itself. It has nothing stamped on it.

Raymond, I asked permission to take the combo lock and they told me I can have it before they scrap the safe. Can't wait to go there and take it.

In the meantime enjoy some pictures of the lever lock.

Here is my precious lock! Is there a way to determine when it was made, from the serial number?
Looks like the last person that changed the combo didn't do a perfect job. None of the change key cam is perfectly aligned to its index. The two deeper are a few degrees too much clockwise and the first one is off a bit counterclockwise. Apparently the lock worked fine, but I'll double check once it's assembled again.

Now I need to make a stand for this beauty.

Cheers :)

You lock was made before 1974, that's when S&G moved to Nicholasville, Kentucky from Rochester, New York.

Glad that you got to take it home after all that effort.
