Has anyone picked a Schlage BE365? If so, can you post a video or a detailed description? Thanks

The actual cylinder below the keypad. The cylinder has to recess into the thumb screw with the key during normal unlocking. I'm wondering how to do this in a picking situation.

Once the cylinder is recessed yes, But how do you get the cylinder to recess so that you can get it to turn? When you insert the key, you have to twist it a bit and push it in before it will turn and engage the thumb screw.

Hey deepseadad,

I have to ask, are you a hobby picker, a locksmith, or a home owner curious about his locks? Do you need to pick such a lock to get into it? If you are just learning and practicing, it's probably best to just get another lock to practice on, one that does not have extra steps in operating it, like a normal Schlage deadbolt for example. Also, if this is in use on your front door, we do not recommend practicing your picking on it, otherwise you might screw it up and then not be able to lock up or unlock using a key.

Based on the instructions here: http://consumer.schlage.com/project%20d ... -a_web.pdf

I see what you mean, but to pick the lock you just pick it normally, rotate it 90 degrees, THEN you push the plug in, with your finger if that's what works, and then turn the thumb turn, but this procedure is only for Emergency Override, not normal every day operation. Schlage assumes you will be using the keypad 99% of the time, and not the key.

Are you locked out of one of these or forgot the code or the batteries went dead?

Thanks for any details or context you can provide so we can better assist you,
