Shame that the one I sent Gordon got nicked in the post, was lovely, as is yours.

Thanks SnowyBoy, that means a lot coming from the master craftsman! I actually machine all 3 parts of the core individually with their own fixtures and confirm tolerances and pin chamber locations for each cycle. I'm just concerned about how easy it is to chip carbide with even the slightest vibration in the part.. also i think the surface finish turns out a bit better that way.

Looking good on the 5200 Blue :)

I think i should start a new thread for some cutaways, rather than hijack Blues one!

Great work Blue!! Now get a new shackle for it, a piece like that deserves it :)

BTW, di you do anything to protect the steel after you machined it? i was worried about corrosion without paint or lacquer being put on there afterwards?

Thanks L0ckcr4ck3r, I am sourcing shackle's for some of them.
all I did after milling was wipe it down with some oil I don't think the lock will rust but time will tell.

Nice Everest there Blue! I'm try to source some Everest Primus KIK cylinders for reasonable money but i might have to buy a bulk pack and find some helpful member to key and combinate for me.

Keep them coming!

I do love those custom body vices... a far cry from me using wafers and spacers.
What a load of old BiLocks!!!!

I'm probably 0 for 400 in looking for safes behind wall paintings

Can see how it would be nice with the custom body vices, but only if making several of the same lock.

Yeah true that. For euro's it would accommodate multiple models still though

I might invest the time and money to make a better jig for holding SFIC's
for now I am using a bunch of cutup V blocks I 3D printed in my vise and they work for doing KIK's as well

He does. Did you see that first cutaway he made of the Simplex? It is now in my collection. As are a couple others he has made. He's easy to deal with, too.
