Non destructive disassembly ABUS 78/50

Information about locks themselves. Questions, tips and lock diagram information should be posted here.

Here we go. I'll let you choose which one you want ;)

Whichever of the two you choose will need tarting up a bit. Nice fine sanding then a high polish of the rear plate to get rid of a few scratch marks.

All I've got left out of your batch to do is the Conch padlock, and the forever bike lock (although not too sure what to do with it!), and from the last time the Fichet 787

Let me know which of these two you want anyway

p.s there are no screws holding the plate in the photo... I have to pick them up later in the week.
What a load of old BiLocks!!!!

I'm probably 0 for 400 in looking for safes behind wall paintings

Do you have a picture of the face of your cutaway Master Locks?
They look different from what I've seen in here in Canada.

They almost look like they have a die cast zinc or aluminum body.

Beautiful work. You didn't free hand the grinding did you?

Just a correction. On further research, the black ABUS 78 series or die cast zinc.
Looks like the pictures of the master locks that were ground and threaded for reassembly have disappeared. The links appear to be dead.

That does tend to happen when the thread is 10 years old. Web hosting sites close down, people close their accounts or delete pics on the web hosting sites to make space for new ones, etcetera.

Too long a day today. Post a reminder later and maybe this weekend I'll take pics of the master locks Snowyboy cut for me.

Just when you finally think you have learned it all, that is when you learn that you don't know anything yet.
