Mitchell S Lock Collection

Postby Mitchell S » 8 Jul 2015 7:17

Hey guys

I've been meaning to start photographing and cataloging my lock collection for a while now, so I finally got the camera out and started going through the locks. This is going to be an evolving thread, as much as i would like to be able to upload my whole collection all at once, it is going to take me a too long. So I'll keep the pictures trickling in over time (keep checking back :D )

I started on the military stuff for no other reason than it was the top draw of my lock filing cabinet.

Most of my locks are new with boxes, instructions, chains, security cards etc; but as a default I'm not going to photograph that stuff because the volume of photos will be out of control. However if you are a collector and are interested in something specific (and I have it), I'll be more than happy to post a picture request.

Here we go

Nice locks and nice pictures :)
What's in the other drawers?

Thanks :)

It's going to take some time, but if I can do some big blocks, I'll only have to photograph the new finds.

Yep, that was drawer 1 of 10.... (Your beautiful creations have their own private drawer  )

D A M N, that's one hell of a first drawer!

Wow, you have got a whole family of beasts! Both the Ava and Ingersoll cylinders to boot - lovely, lovely, lovely.
Now, have you managed to pick any of those military-grade beauties yet? Perhaps, the Ingersoll might be the most pickable of that lot?

Weee, I can't wait to see what else you have tucked away :)

Kind regards,
Sean

LOL! :)

I'm in the same boat, haven't picked my Ingersoll Miracle Lock either. I'm starting to think a couple of the wafers are gummed-up as they feel mushy, with one not moving at all. Unfortunately I don't have a key for mine.

I don't have any of those S&G beauties but I am up to 3 pins on a Medeco cylinder. Need to get working on that project again - so many locks and so little time for play at the moment.

Cheers,
Sean

As far as I know these were never sold as a padlock, rather they were part of a salesman sample kit.
