Ilco keyway chart question.

Postby DavePaulson » 10 Jul 2015 17:12

When looking at the Ilco North American Key PDF some of the sectional drawing are in solid black and some in lines or partly in lines, what is the significance of this?

I am not sure. All of the material in my hard copy are solid black. I have seen that however in manufacturer's catalogs. That means in theirs that the keys in solid are readily available, and the others are special order, or restricted. I am not sure this answers your question, but is what I understand from your post to mean.

Just scanned thru my Ilco catalogs. Didn't see anything that wasn't blacked in. Silca has reverse profiles but the blanks have an "R" suffix on the key number and the profile shape is blacked in. Not sure if Ilco may be showing reversed profiles not blacked in. Unlikely but just a stab in the dark.

Thank you for the responses. I found out that this does not happen when I view it in chrome, only when I open the downloaded file in adobe reader, might just be a computer thing.

Thank you,

Dave
