Premier speedex cut double bit safe keys?

Got a question about key machines? not sure what to buy? need a user manual? have some tips for keeping one running well or need help cutting or programming keys? Post here!

Typically these are cut on a flat steel key machine or a bit key specific machine. If you can find a slotter and a way to clamp the key accurately you would be able to cut them on a simple manual machine like the speedex. However the length of the key precludes this in actuality.

how do i modify the speedex to cut these keys? give me some jimmy rig ideas.

Is it long enough in the carriage? Before you waste time making modifications. I'm assuming you have this machine as a spare and don't want to also revert back to cutting regular keys?

Get a used Framon #1 or #2 and cut them by code, or buy them from MBA or lockmasters

The real answer to your question is a Curtis #9. This cuts all flat and bit and barrel keys. Good luck finding one today, ours is from 1974, and still works perfectly after tons of keys have gone thru it.
