Just wondering if they are any good I got a beginners kit the Southord PSV-14 but found it lacking smaller hooks etc but is not a bad kit

Hi,

Why is this posted in the Lock Pick Guns area?

Please post to the correct section, and search as well, as this has been answered before and Klom picks have been discussed before in other threads in the Lock Picks area.

Here is our Search function showing posts with the word KLOM in them in the Lock Picks area.

To answer your question, that KLOM kit is mainly for opening cars, the picks in that set are not for normal pin tumbler locks such as a Yale rim cylinder. It does have a couple picks that can be used for that but majority of that set is meant for wafer car door locks. Get the Southord slimline C801 or C1500, the one you mention is regular sized picks that work in big keyways such as the American Kwikset or Schlage, the C801 and C1500 are slimmer picks and fit in more restrictive keyways.
