driver pin

hi so I am trying to repin my deadbolt lock I have undone it but I am having major difficulty putting the pins and spring in when I put the spring in then put the driver pin the spring is coming out.

Is there any special tweezers you need I am just using the normal ones

any help much appreciate

There are "special" ones but you can use whatever. I use a pair I nabbed from wife years ago. I find that just pushing the pin in slightly and then pinching it with the plug follower to hold it in then using the tweezers to push it down enough to slide the plug follower over it works ok.

I picked up some re-pinning tweezers from Sparrows just to give them a whirl. They do give you a very secure grip on pins, but they don't make re-loading driver pins a lot easier.

For the price, I think they're quite nice but I wish they held pins at more of an angle.

Especially with security pins, and even more so with the crazy looking homemade ones. The tweezers I use have little teeth, and they hold the pins pretty well.
