The last number is not part of the actual combination, just part of the dialing instructions. If you dont want to give it away in public, message me the last number of the combination and I can tell you if it's actually part of it or just the last number you have to dial to in order to retract the bolt. or a photo of the combination paperwork so I can see how it was written down, that often shows what someone was thinking when they wrote it down.
For example, one of my home safes is 25-50-75 but in order to open it I have to dial 4Left to 25, 3Right to 50, 2Left to 75, and 1Right to 90 (but that's just to retract the bolt once the combination is entered, its not really part of the combination) so you might think my combination is 25-50-75-90, but it isn't.
or does your combination that you have (I assume written on something) say something like 25-50-75-12-90 with 5 numbers listed? If it does show 5 numbers, then yes, it might actually be a 4 digit combination, but based on that make and model safe, they were usually shipped with a 3 number combo.
The lock that should be on it is a S&G Sargent Greenleaf 6700 series made in Rochester NY. It is a 3 number lock.
Did you try the instructions provided to see if they will work?
