997PA key blanks

I'm not well versed in the hobby, so bear with me. I have a few old Yale 840 locks that take the 997PA blank. Would finding original Yale blanks (8FL?) be like finding a unicorn?

I don't believe that it is a restricted key section,

When you want OEM blanks you have to order them in box quantities. (100 pcs)

When you order keyblanks from ilco, you can get a baggie of 10 pcs.

If you were fine with buying 100 then ask the locksmith to order the blanks through their supply chain, if you wanted only a few then you will have to settle for Ilco blanks or seek out loose odds and ends from wherever you can find someone that possesses them.

I have a very small amount of original 8FL blanks, I may be persuaded to part with a few. OP, send me a PM.
Also - All the blanks I see come in boxes of 50; but my suppliers have a minimum order of 10 blanks when it's something they stock.
The Yale blanks came in boxes of 36, they are older than me lol
