Old Metal Lock Box - Please advice

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the community; so a quick introduction seems appropriate - I'm a 'white hat' cyber security expert, which involves digital lock-picking Due to my interest in digital security, I've been edging to stretch my wings and learn how to do physical lock picking since I love the challenge.

I'll get to it, I've got an old blue metal box which I have been storing my medicine in - however I've left the key at my folks like a muppet and the backups that I keep on me are - yep you guessed it - in the box.

I've looked around at guides, read this forums rules, but I have no idea what type of lock it is or where to begin. Please can someone assist? I could just bust the box open but that's not a challenge, and I'm not sure how old it is either!

have your folks mail you the key if you need the meds asap, or have them send you a photo of the key from multiple angles so we can see it.. you may be able to make a rough copy based on the photos or we can tell you how to make some picks/wires that will match what the key does.

You could just take the box to a locksmith shop, I know I have keys that likely open your box hanging on the wall
