please help in finding the blank key model for the safe lock

Postby siemaeniu » 15 Oct 2015 17:50

Hi,

I have a safe or a gun locker in my flat.

Image

Its dimensions are:
From left too right - 1 cm + 0.5 cm for hole + 1 cm
From notch to right side: 0.6 cm

Dimensions of the door: 27.8 cm x 17.8 cm
Outer dimensions: 35.8 cm x 24.8 cm.

I tried to search for the model of tke key but couldn't find any information (because of the notch). I am sure that the key is double-sided and the lock has 2+3 or 3+2 pins inside. I know that there are 3+3 self-impressioning keys available on the market but 2+3 config with notch is very unusual.

I will try to give you any information that you may need to help me to identify the blank key model and, finally, open the locker.

Thanks,
Siemaeniu

Well, since no one's said anything yet, I guess I'll chime in.
First off, welcome to the forum. :) I see you put this in lock impressioning. This type of thing normally goes in this old lock or this old safe, but if you plan on trying impressioning, I guess that works. Where are you located?
That lock appears to be a lever lock, so it wouldn't have pins in it. This type of thing is a sensitive subject, safes gun/cash boxes etc., so you may not get a lot of help here. There isn't a way to positively prove that you own the box, so information on opening it will likely not be provided. We wouldn't want to help someone do something unethical. The suspicion shouldn't be taken personally. :)
Do you want to use the safe for something? If so, the only thing I can say is to call a locksmith or something similar. If you just want it open out of curiosity, the farthest I know I can go with opening information is to break it open yourself. You should be able to figure out something. Sometimes, if you know the maker and have the key code off of the safe, you can get a key from the manufacturer through the mail. That's probably impossible with this one though.
The mods will decide what will happen with this thread I suppose. Hopefully your questions will get answered, but even if they don't, I hope you stick around!
Best regards :)

I have these keys in stock, in my shop, of course without the notch, you hafta make that yourself.
I never tried impressioning that type of lock on anything modern before, I guess it can't be much
different from the long ago--anyone guess what the plastic base at the front of the key is for?

I will try to contact them and ask about buying the blank key.

BTW, congratulations, you caught the pun inside my login :)
