tubular lock picks?

Hi All,
I have just a few questions.

1, I want to buy a 10 pin tubular lock pick, but will this also pick a 3, 5, & 7 pin lock? or is it a case of buying different lock picks for the other locks?

2, I have a job coming up on a shop with double glazed sliding doors, i have a cylinder gauge but as the door does not have handles would it be a case of measuring from the white door frame to white door frame?

1) Tubular lock picks are usually specific to the number of pins in the lock since most have a different diameter of key hole.
There are a couple of picks that are adaptable to different numbers of pins, but only in cases where the key hole is the same size, such as with 7 and 8 pin locks, but even then, only SOME picks are adaptable to work on both.
It's pricey, but you'll probably need to get a pick for each size of tubular lock you want to be able to pick.

2) A pic or a diagram might help illustrate what you're talking about. Filling in the "location" field of your user profile can be helpful as well since door and window hardware can differ between countries.
