yelp advertising

Postby victorylocksmith » 26 Jun 2015 0:17

finally made a yelp account, i still dont have any reviews but it's as if i cant even find my business listing unless i type in my exact business name. here in california, yelp is huge and the yelp ad specialist is trying to sell me on a couple hundred dollars a month to $500 for advertising. i really am not sure if that is worth it or not. any suggestions guys?

at the moment i am attempting to contact my old clients and get a ton of yelp reviews but it is taking a while. if it all goes through, will my listing increase in rank or will it forever be in a low position unless i pay a lot for advertising?

you laughed when i inquired about yelp but now under certain filters, I AM ON THE FIRST PAGE! not to mention, i havent spent a cent on advertising either.

however to be fair, i have indeed received a crapload of spam phone calls and scam phone calls as well

I would not waste your time trying to get reviews on yelp.
Yelp's review algorithm is gonna filter them all so no one will see
them and they will not help your rank.

It's true, if you haven't paid for your yelp ad, no one can see your review(s) I looked up my business and I do have a review, but you can't see it

I carefully set up my Yelp Account and get a few calls from it. I actually did talk to a Yelp rep and he was trying to sell me their package. I was polite and took my time with him and learned a few tricks. First, on the free account you cannot control the pictures. Upload one and only one image. Make it a good one! The free account will not let you change it.

Most of the calls I get from Yelp are vehicle lockouts. But I do get calls from new homeowners that want their house rekeyed. My favororite customers! I often get to sell deadbolts and/or new door hardware on these calls.

theres very few advertising opportunities that are worth the money. if i were you i would pay someone to do some seo in your wbisite to get you higher up on the search engines
