The Disec MG300 is a lock shield with a combination lock. It has a 3-number combination and says it is magnetic. Does anyone have any ideas on how difficult such a lock would be to manipulate or bypass?
I haven't heard of one yet for that specific lock shield, but it wouldn't surprise me if either there is an unpublished one running around out there, or one is published on a forum before long.
However if it did come up the details of any kind of bypass or manipulation would be restricted to the advanced forums if it were discussed on lp101.
I got the wrong model - I meant to say the Disec Digimag. And I not asking about how it would be opened, just wether anybody thought it could be opened, how secure it might be, whether it was money well-spent.

I was kind of wondering what you were talking about since the other model isn't a combination lock. This makes much more sense. I'm not aware yet of published flaws on that one either but hopefully someone more knowledgeable can chime in.
Looks interesting, but why do you choose a combination one? Since you already need to carry your house key, it would be easy to add the key to their minimag, that has less components exposed. Just curious, how much is it?
The combination can be changed. It is a good concept, but I did just see a youtube video of someone picking the non-combination keyed version with some strong magnets. I recall the price being over $200. So, are there alternative shields? I know of the Drumm Geminy and the Grube Shield, but I've been unable to find the Grube Shield online.
