Has anyone seen the following locks:


I have found them on the Cable Companies access boxes.

Aren't these wafer locks? Easy to explore?

I have never seen these locks before. It seems a little suspicious that you only have two posts and are asking about locks found on cable company access boxes. One of the rules here is to explore locks you personally own or have been granted permision by the owner of the lock to pick.

Not just a rule here, but a law pretty much everywhere. It's usually a misdemeanor to have the tools and felonious intent, and a felony to try it. Of course, saber might just be asking out of curiousity. From the website it looks like they're normal pin tumbler padlocks, although I only gave it a quick look.

I believe it is a wafer lock. I don't need or want cable. Bunny ears works fine for me.

I see a cable guy accessing the boxes all the time.

But if you cut them, then they know it is broken into. If you do explore it is better, and safer, to not let people know you are "gifted" .

Just a note in case you think there's actually a difference. Should you be caught "exploring" wouldn't be any different than actually opening the lock.

In other words, if it ain't yours and you don't have permission, don't put your tools into it. Plain and simple.
