Been working on a cabin for a friend. The front door had a rim cylinder that didnt have a key. It is an old (?) Russwin. I took it out today. It was really gummed up. Took it apart and cleaned it. Found a cut RU-4 that fit. Repinned it and lubed it, WITH graphite. Works nice.
But I have no idea how old this is. May not be old at all. It did have balls under a plain pin in each of the 5 chambers in the plug. Typical of older Corbins. Can anyone comment on how old this cylinder is? This is the first one like this that I have seen.
