Trying to identify a Dial

Looking to find a manufacturer and part number for a dial that I have but it has no info on it. Pictures to follow.

Description:
Vault lock.
Privacy dial 0-100.
All stainless.
1970-80 vintage.
The dial does not have a permanent spindle post.
The dial slides onto a spindle (separate part)nd is held on with a threaded cap also stainless but no manufacturers logo.
The cap has groves for your fingers to grip and they match the groves on the dial.
When the cap is tight the groves on the cap and dial line up and look like one piece.

I have two of these dial and rings and one is missing the cap, don't know where to start looking. Google search for vault dial didn't find anything useful.

D023 dial with R162 ring

The design has changed a bit over the years I guess. There are no logos on the ring or cap on the ones I have. Too bad. I was hoping I could get a match and not have to replace both dials. Don't want the thing looking like a patch job.

call S&G tech support tomorrow (in Kentucky) and email that photo to whoever you talk to, they may have them in stock or be able to tell you if it really is a D023 dial.

If you show us a photo of the inside of the lock we can be more certain as to the manufacturer/part number.

I take it you're restoring a vault door, we'd love to see some before and after photos, we <3 safes and vaults!

A couple local locksmiths do not agree that this dial is a D023 but are also unable to tell me what it is either...

Wanted to check the local guys first to see if there were used parts available.

No heat where I have the door stored and it feels like -40 here so I cant take it apart to confirm the lock either.

The only other thing I can think of because the dial ring is missing hte S&G logo, is that it might be a Meilink maybe even a Mosler

One thing I forgot to mention, if you show us the safe door or entire safe this lock is on we can often tell what brand/model lock is on that safe. I'd like to see your actual dial ring to see where the change index is on it, as well as the mounting holes on it (visible with dial removed) These dial rings can all look very similar, and small details can set them apart and tell us what you're dealing with.
