Two Masters and an Abus 55/40. Got multiple opens for each, but the brass Master 140D gives me serious trouble - much more so than the Abus - maybe not so surprising when you check out the bitting on the keys. ;)

Arrow 6pin no spool pins or anything. spent a whole day trying it counter clockwise and being really gentle with it, had no luck watched a couple youtube videos guys were doin it clockwise and using alot of tension tried that and it worked. :D

1 Euro cylinder, two Master padlocks and a 6 pin practice lock filled with security pins. :D

Spent more time with my wildly bitted Master 140 with a longer hook - still not a fast pick, but much more consistent than yesterday...

A Hekna desk drawer wafer lock, and a 5-pin Kwikset cylinder.

The Hekna was quite fun: after opening it you need to pick it again counter-clockwise to lock it again.

The bitting on the Kwikset is tame to say the least, but the cast core grabs the pins all too easily given my less than great tension control, and makes even pick movements erratic. Been working on it a couple on days now, and only just started getting consistent opens on it.

Both irritating and educational. :D

Very nice kwoswalt like I was saying if you use the Allen set screw I mentioned you can make it flush with the handle so you don't have that big screw sticking out I think it would be alot more aesthetically pleasing and probably more comfortable to hold I have no experience with metalwork so your already way beyond my skill level but one day I hope to be able to make my own picks I already have some really good ideas and I'm a painter/carpenter so I have some really good ideas for some wooden handles. Maybe I can get somebody to make the picks and I'll do the handles. Just a thought.

Spent more time with my Abus 55/40. First hour was spent wondering how I ever picked it... but now it has been tamed again.

Making the tips really isn't difficult. I always use a grinder, but if you don't have one, you could file out the shape pretty quickly. Then you just need some fine sandpaper and you're good to go.

Russian Euro-profile wafer lock. Rather strong tension in the springs, and full of vaseline-like grease.

Pin tumbler -wise I am made of fail today, but with some help from WD40 I did manage to best these two elderly warded locks.

Abus 54TI/30 - just three pins, but until today I could not make any sense out of it. :)

Was hoping to gut it since I had no other use for it... Looks like the pins are loaded through the side of the brass housing and capped that way.

That's an Italian lock :) it's not easy to disassemble it since it was not supposed to be serviced.
If you carefully remove the caps and tap the holes, you may end up with a nice repinnable padlock. I did it many times, with different results. Some locks ended up in the trash. Others in my toys box.

Cheers :)

Had a little free time at work this morning and gave it a shot.

Came out pretty well. Haven't dropped pins in it yet, but since I never touched the areas they normally sit, I don't imagine it's changed in that aspect.

Good work, Joshua! Glad to see you trying new things that increase your knowledge and understanding. And picking ability. :)
