Yale safe need directions for code.

We have a safe here at work that we need opened. We have the code but cant figure out the direction and number of passes. can someone help.

My google-fu tells me:

HHM used a number of different styles of Yale locks, I'll try to give you a couple of the most common sequences.

4 Times left to the first number,
3 times right to the second number,
2 times left to the third number,
1 time right, slowly until the dial stops.
or
4 times right to the first number,
3 times left to the second number,
2 times right to the third number,
1 time left slowly until the dial stops.

If these don't work, you may have an incorrect combination. You may need a safe technician to check the safe and lock out.

If there are 3 numbers in the combination (most common) start by dialing left or counter clockwise a minimum of 4 times past the first number this will ensure you "pick up" all the wheels in the pack. once you have completed at least 4 revolutions past the first number stop right on it. There may be 2 markings on the outer ring around the dial. make sure you align the first number on the pointer at the top or 12 o'clock position!

dialing the second number start right or clockwise and pass the second number ONLY 2 times coming to a smooth and accurate stop ON the 2nd number as you approach the 3rd time.

Dial the last number by dialing left or counter clockwise past it 1 time and smoothly dial to and stop on it the second time.

The wheels should be alined now turn the dial clockwise until you feel it come to a stop and open with the handle.

If there are 4 numbers in the combination use the same 3,2,1 steps but start by dialing right 5, then left 4, right 3, left 2 turn right to open!

I see the dial says 'Herring-Hall-Marvin' and 'Yale'. This generally indicates the use of a Yale HE lock which means the dial will not come to a stop.After dialing last number, return to '0' and then turn handle to force fence UP into gates.
