How reputable are SecuritySnobs??

Thinking of upgrading your door security? Getting a better deadbolt or padlock? Getting a new frame or better hinges? Not sure what brand or model to go with for your particular application? Need a recommendation? Feel free to ask for advice here!

How reputable are SecuritySnobs??

Postby DangerDane » 3 Feb 2016 11:35

First of all sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but I didn't know where to put it :/

I am curious as to what people think of Security Snobs as a company. Because I read several posts on here with people giving them praise and high regards, giving me confidence in them being on point and a decent company. That image has however faded since I have been waiting +20 days for my order to go anywhere and every time I reach out to them i get a "empty" promise (its starting to feel that way at least) that they will get something done about it. But when I then contact them a few days later again squat has happened, or its a completely different excuse as to why its not gone further.

Is it just me that is very unlucky or have they started to feel the strain of becoming "popular"?

It depends on what you ordered was it a custom job? was it on backorder or had to be ordered direct from factory? did they say if it was being shipped from USA or from Europe? (they have an employee in Europe, who I think stocks certain things locally) is there something up with your credit card payment? do all addresses match up?

Each time I help someone here by calling my friend at Snobs or at lockpickshop it ends up being some simple reason like the credit card expired or the item was on back order and they email the person and sure enough the reply is in their Junk mail or the item shows up the very next day in the mail after a post like this. So I'm hesitant to reach out to Snobs for you, but no normally they are easy to work with, so Private Message me your order number, your name, what they said the problem was, and I will call the owner and ask whats up.

I greatly apologize for the delay with your order, the PL321s shipped from europe we are working on a better process on as currently fulfillment certainly has some problems, and a mistake was made early on the order causing the processed email to go out far too soon.

Its compounded a bit by some massive Abloy delays of late so I am very sorry about that but we hope to have tracking on the outstanding europe pl321s by next week.

So I should expect the lock should get shipped out sometime next week hopefully?. But what about the excess shipping charge as well?. We can continue the conversation in PM if that is easier?
