I seem to have the bug...the lockpicking bug. I haven`t tried to pick a lock yet but it all looks quite fascinating and good fun too. Started doing research for a role playing game I was involved in ( I was the thief in the group...go figure. ) and have become very interested in lockpicking as a hobby. May go part time locksmith in time. Might be something I can do to make a bit of extra cash when I retire in 10 or so years. Right now I`m just gathering information on the sublect. Bought a Lockpicking CD off of eBay yesterday. Lots of good video supposedly, we`ll see.
This is a very informative sight. It should come in quite handy in the near future. If any of you can suggest books, videos or suppliers feel free to PM me or post in the forum.

Ciao for now.

Lol that's probably the funniest typo i've seen in a while

You said your gonna retire in a few years, so im guessing your around 40+ years old. If you are, isnt that a bit old to be playing some kinda role playing game with 'shadows' and 'wanderers'?

Anyway.. welcome to the forums. Have fun Master Wanderer :D

Hmmm...

Postby The Wanderer » 11 Nov 2004 1:45

I had a some suspicions that I may get a reply such this. I`m actually age 16 with 31 years experience. Your as young as you feel I suppose. I`m actually more into tabletop wargames and miniature painting than role playing to be truthful. ( I`m really asking for it here aren`t I? ) Never tried RPG`s before and thought I`d give it a go at least once before I head off to the great beyond. I was too kewl to do it when I was younger and now that I`m older I don`t seem to care what folks think. Going bald will do that for a fella.
I`m going to have to get in some serious reading done on locks etcetera before I make a return visit. I was reading some thread about picking Medeco locks and was completely lost.
I downloaded MIT Guide to Lock Picking by Ted the Tool as a primer today. I`ll head back here to peruse your pearls of wisdom when I`ve deciphered that compendium. I don`t want to ask a lot of foolish questions about locks by saying things like " The doohickey that attacts to the thingamabob. " That`d be bad.

I shall return!! HUZZAH!!!

You'll have to ask Ken and Pinky about stuff like that :D
It's not the tools that open the lock. It's me.

A new approach to picking locks...when you come across a medico just throw a couple of D10's at it till it opens :D

Welcome to the forum and we (well I) will try my best not to take the mickey, I am sure we all have other hobbies that let us escape from reality besides Entrology.
