Hello all,
I have tried doing as much learning as I can fit starting off down the locksmithing career path but not having the best luck. I live in Washington state so as far as I can tell there isn't a school that offers hands on locksmith training. This is leading me towards doing an online program through Ashworth or Foley-Belsaw. I have heard good and bad about both so I'm hesitant on which one.
Also the only locksmith I have found near me never seems to be at his shop and I'm guessing he's the only one there and on calls a lot. This is making it hard to try and talk with him personally and see if I can maybe apprentice with him.
My question now is, what's my best option for learning and practicing when I don't have a school near me or someone I can apprentice with? Any help is much appreciated!
