Gordon means any lock that you depend upon to work.
That is because you can break a lock while you play at picking it
If you are playing with the lock on your business or home or auto and it breaks that could cause you some trouble
That is why serious pickers buy locks to practice with, instead of playing with locks that are being used to secure property
