This question only pertains to pin tumbler locks.
I am classifying pin tumbler locks into different levels of difficulty in SPP for personal use. I realize its been done before, but not in my own image. I am having trouble identifying the features of a pin tumbler beyond this list, and most of you are much more intelligent than I am.
Beginner - All Basic Pin Tumbler Locks with no added security features.
Intermediate - All Pin Tumbler Locks with added security pins but no other added features.
Advanced - All Pin Tumbler Locks with Security Pins and Security Features such as side bar, finger pins, sliders, interlocking key/driver pins, etc.
Since the difficulty of all security pins is subjective, I am lumping them into the Intermediate Category.
Since the difficulty of all added security features of a High Security Lock such as side bars and sliders is subjective, I have added them to the Advanced Category.
But are there any other feature I am missing that go beyond added features such as side bars, finger pins, sliders, detents, etc?
Is there any features I am missing that is worth adding to an EXPERT category?
Please note that I am not referring to other types of locks like the ones below.. Only Pin tumbler locks... so any of those locks are not considered in this instance.
Wafer Locks
Lever Locks
Dimple Locks
Tubular Locks
Disc Detainer Locks
Warded Locks
Combination Locks
Magnetic Locks
Electronic Locks
Electromagnetic Locks
Thank you for any advice I can receive.
