I have been getting into lock picking for a few weeks now, but I have a couple of questions.
I purchased a Southord 7 & 8 pin set and have had good success in figuring out the locks that I have to practice with. One of the locks though is smaller than the other. The picks are too large to fit into the hole to try to pick it. My confusion is that I don't know if that means its a small bore or mini? Its very similar to a lock I have on one of my Dell servers at work if that helps at all. The picks I believe are for standard bore. I tried to purchase a mini 7 pin pick, but they aren't shipping till after the middle of April. This particular lock was cut off a small 10" by 10" by 4" plastic "safe". I also am considering getting a cutter to try to duplicate keys and maybe make it a hobby to do that as well for people for fun. However the cutters I have seen online (Herty Gerty) would not take this size key. It would be to small to fit onto the Herty Gerty. My main question is whether or not this is considered small bore or mini? Secondly what type of tool should I look at for picking these also.
Thanks,
Steve
