I really like the guy. I'm gathering that he must work for the ATF or some other Federal LE Agency judging by the guns he has access to.

In one of his recent videos he shows a master EOD badge. He worked in bomb disposal in the army.

Right. And he also showed a few nfa toys and said they were his agency's. So again my money is on federal leo.

"Agency" may not be anything more than something to make you wonder. Then again, maybe not. Maybe, BB is Jason Bourne in the flesh. Im not sure if I have seen the video in question, I go through spurts on youtube and right now I have pretty much been watching nothing but rally racing, downhill MTB and Danny Macaskill (start with long way home or industrial revolution).

You must live somewhere with a good Sheriff to sign off on your NFA items. Mine will not sign anything, a trust is the only real option we have.

As it pertains to agency...he also mentions "breacher teams"....so either this guy is delusional or he really is a LEO of some sort. Again, my guess is federal.

As for my sheriff, no, the guy was an A-number-one-JACKASS!! He used to intentionally make CCWers and NFAers WAIT for MONTHS before he would sign off on their paperwork. He was pretty much the most anti-gun sheriff we've seen in this county since I've been paying attention. Pissed all of us off. Shot himself in the foot and bit off his nose to spite his face with that move because he was voted out after only one term!

Just wanted to share an update....

I spoke with Mad Bob (actually her name was Donna) today and my ghost kit (with it's black case) will be shipping out....TOMORROW!

Hopefully it arrives around the same time as the practice lock I ordered. Can't wait to get to work with these..

Yet another update....THEY'RE HERE!!!

Turns out they mailed them to me 6 days ago. Got them in a little padded envelope today when I got home from work.

Here's my impression of them...

Now I don't have much experience with this hobby yet but in regard to quality, these seem like the cadillac of picks compared to my other 2-3 experiences!! Even thought the set in the case might weight all of 2 ounces they are quality through and through. Took them to my deadbolt. Instead of just raking it open I actually SPP'd it (a first time for me I believe). Unlike my Majestic set where it's all gritty and I'm almost muscling through it, I tried the gentle approach and I could actually feel the pick contacting each pin and moving it up and down. Almost felt as if the hook was an extension of my finger.

The picks themselves are super thin and pretty small, but again, I can only compare to my Majestics. I thought they were going to be uncomfortable to use and that I'd want to put some shrink tube around the grips but it really wasn't an issue. Nothing like the credit card set I referenced in my other thread. Totally different experience.

Something I'm trying to figure out now is a good yet super compact hard case. See I'm pretty rough on things...okay abusive...and I can see these being all bent to hell within a few weeks of me carrying them around in my bag ( I tend to engage in hobbies when bored at work).

Any suggestions on hard cases? At this point I'm thinking one of my Zenni cases. Those things have lasted years in my bag without breaking!

Eyeglass cases work pretty good for me. I found some body glove brand cases made out of wet suit material and its the perfect length to not be noisy.

Regarding BB's job, someone asked him in the comments once if he is, or ever was, a "tech" - he replied simply "Yes". In context and from googling at the time it seems they're referring to "Entry technician", the dudes who get the doors open for swat/police/federal raids etc. Someone in another comment thread asked what his job was (he usually ignores those comments) but he replied with something to the effect of "The government pays me to figure out how to break into stuff". He's also done gun videos on the range at his work, so I'm guessing some kind of military or gov't contractor. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that he did bomb disposal for the army, too.

Regarding Mad Bob's stuff, I heard about him a few months back and meant to buy a set of those ergonomic picks but I didn't in the end, and now it looks like he's STILL OOS even though this thread was made back in Feb. Dayum. Wondering if and when his stuff will come back into stock again.

Bosnian Bill (I assume that's who you're talking about) told me a while back what his main job is these days. I'm not going to share it here since he hasn't chosen to do so himself, but it can be found via search engine if for some reason it's really important to you to learn that information.
