My father made a mock door for me to practice picking. It is an unnamed privacy lock, in which the side without the keyhole is pressed in and turned to set the lock. There is no unlocking pinhole for a quick unlock. As for the keyhole itself it is relatively open and feels like it has 5 pins. However when I attempt to pick it I get no feedback and cannot feel anything like a shear line. I have tried raking and spping but neither were successful. I also have no key to check the bitting. My questions are: when it is picked will the other side "pop" or will the knob just open/turn and is there anything special I should be doing to pick this type of lock to get feedback.
