Got a question about key machines? not sure what to buy? need a user manual? have some tips for keeping one running well or need help cutting or programming keys? Post here!

I have that same machine, got it used from a hardware store, have never seen a manual. It's very easy to use.

how do I cut a ford double sided key on a cole 3kcc machine?

I suppose the only thing that isn't obvious is how you gauge from the tip of the key, commonly known as tip stop. Is that what you are wanting to know? If so the most accurate way is to stop the tip of the key you are copying up against the copy dog, and then insert the blank to be cut and push it up against the cutting wheel. You then cut the key and then flip over the cut blank and do the other side the same way. No need to flip the key over as both sides are the same which is not always the case with double-sided keys.

The Cole key machine had single sided vises right? A set of adaptors were made available to aid in cutting the Ford H51 double sided keys,
They are about $10, but they can be difficult to use

I wanted to add the adaptors look similar to the Foley Belsaw item #5749643

You go to the foley-belsaw site and enter item #5749643 and then I suppose you hit the 'buy now' dealy,
