Cheap keyed lock box help

Postby helpme001 » 29 Apr 2016 18:17

I have a cheap keyed lock box inside of a safe that Ive lost the keys for. I have the keys and code for the safe but not the keys for the lock box. I'm not asking how to pick the lock box!

My questions are twofold- one there is no identification on the lock so I can't have a key made from that information. There is however a piece of paper above the lock that says D 211. Might this refer to the key needed to open the box? That is can a locksmith make a key from that information?

My other question is if I call a locksmith out can they make a key from the locked lock? And if so about how much would that run me? I know it's hard to give an estimate based on the limited information but any information is greatly appreciated.

A picture is worth a 1,000 words. There some serious lock and safe folks on here and there is a pretty good chance someone can steer you to where you need to go. Your post didn't say but I have to assume you can't take the lock bx out of the safe, is that correct?

rgh001,

creating more than 1 account is against forum rules:

Forum Rule #20 wrote:. One account per user please. If you have forgotten your account name or for whatever reason are unable to access your account, please contact an administrator (Squelchtone) via email and he will help you rectify the problem. I have already locked your other thread after offering you some advice on where to get help: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=62673&p=463300#p463300

I am locking this one as well and banning both accounts.
