New handle for Blank Peterson

I spend a while working some nice burled maple in to handles for blank Peterson Picks.

I like the results, I'll probably make a set.

Sorry, I meant bulk picks. Sry Bulk, as in no handle. Don't know why I said blank... But the title says bulk lol.

I have a problem.

I want to make a set with handles like this (all matching) maybe different woods and patterns. But Peterson (my fav picks) don't all come without handles.

So I have a choice, Peterson and remove the handles of the ones that come with handles. Or Sparrows (my next favorite picks), that comes without handles for every pick.

Peterson cost more per pick and shipping and would be more work, but are my favorite. Sparrows cost a bit less, shipping is way less, and it's my 2nd favorite.

The wood is stabilized, 2 holes in the tang, but yeah, just epoxy and clamped. Rivets would be overboard. lol

I'm on Peterson's website (which is stuck in 1999 forever) and is it just me or do they have the wrong picture for the hook pick with no handle? The photo of the hooked offset diamond below that hook is the same photo..

Yeah, It's the wrong pic. I ordered a few a couple weeks ago. I only wish Peterson offered all their picks without handles, so I didn't have to strip the handles off for the set I want to make.

So I got some other stock and made another handle. This is also stabilized wood, so it's not painted or varnished, just sanded and buffed.
This handles is a little thinner than the last one, being just over 1mm on each side and a sparrows euro pick (thin) this is quite a bit thinner than the last one I made. Decided I'm going to make the set (of 3) to start with. Using sparrows picks, only cause the availability of the picks without handles. 1 short hook, 1 medium hook, 1 triple peak.

Have Decided the set of 3 sparrows will be the darker wood (on the right), and I will one day butcher Peterson handles off of GS picks to make a set of the lighter (left) wood.

I am a huge fan of wooden handled picks, really nicely done.
